The Complete Harry Potter Tour (2 nights, 3 days)

Day 1: Starts in London with the railway station location, then on to Oxford for the model for School Hall and some cloister locations. An hour's free time here, then to the old monastery location in the west of England where you can explore the quad, cloisters and some of the monastery rooms used for classroom sets. The day ends in the fascinating City of Bath and some free time before overnighting in a lovely Cotswolds village. Accommodation choices range from simple but clean and friendly B&B (Bed and breakfast or 'Guest House'), a historic English Inn, or a cosy and elegant Country House Hotel - the choice is yours.

Day 2: After a good breakfast we take the motorway north, with a stop for lunch and a mystery location on-route to our destination, the historic City of York. (No HP connections here but it's not to be missed). Then we travel across the Yorkshire Moors to take a look at the country railway station used in the movies, before we end our day at our overnight base - either a lonely Inn on the top of the Moors - very atmospheric, or an ancient (and genuine) Castle. (Your choice again!).

Day 3: An early start is needed for we've a big day ahead. Continuing North we almost reach the Scottish Borders where a fine Northumbrian castle, in the same titled family for hundreds of years was the location for many outdoor scenes (including the Quidditch games). The castle also has interesting interiors, some fine paintings and furniture, with newly enlarged spectacular gardens too. We spend the entire morning here then begin our journey south. A stop at the charming Yorkshire town of Richmond for a late lunch/early afternoon tea, with another (not HP) castle to visit if you wish. Leaving Richmond we've a motorway journey back to London arriving, dependant on road conditions around 11pm.
