Chirk Castle: The castle is open daily from April 1st to September 30th except on Monday and Tuesday. Llanberis Lake Railway: From your seat in the comfortable enclosed coaches you can enjoy spectacular views of Snowdon and the surrounding high mountains. Nantgarw China Works: Visitors to the museum can experience a video which describes the history of the site, a collection of Billingsley's porcelain. Explore the site including the pipe-works and view a reconstructed bottle-kiln and see a potter working.

 

 

National Eisteddfod of Wales: Can be traced back to 1176 when it is said that the first Eisteddfod was held, under the auspices of Lord Rhys, at his castle in Cardigan. Trefriw Woollen Mills:  At Trefriw Woollen Mills in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales we manufacture Welsh double weave (tapestry) bedspreads (carthenni) and tweeds. We carry out all the processes from raw wool to bedcovers, i.e. blending, carding, spinning, doubling, dyeing, warping and weaving. We generate our own electricity using water turbines. Thomas Williams bought the mill in 1859. His descendants still own and operate it.
