ABOUT MY SUPERDEAL TOURS - cut to the deal ...
Are your vacation priorities more about soaking up some new culture, meeting new peoples, exploring a country's best attractions, spending some fun evenings meeting the locals in the pub, or taking in a show or concert, or perhaps just blowing out on a wonderful gastronomic experience than sitting in a five star hotel? Good! Because I could have just the deal for you!
The reason I can offer this type of tour at these prices is due to the occasional Motel deals available at London Suburb locations. Many areas close to London have Highway Motels in pleasant landscaped settings where lower rates sometimes** allow me to put together a really competitive package deal for you.
These are typical European style Motel rooms and can be quite a bit smaller than in the USA. They are not designed for spending too much time in, but are nevertheless modern, clean, efficient and comfortable with an ensuite shower room, comfy double bed, TV, etc.
In other words, they're fine and dandy for sleeping and for the hour or two before bed. 5 star luxury no, but a fair bit less costly than conventional bed and breakfast establishments and a lot more comfy than youth hostels. |

My pictures feature ETAP and TRAVELODGE rooms to give you an idea, but please remember that the priority here is overnight economy! Book into the Ritz, The Goring, The Milestone or the Stafford (my favourite luxury hotels in London), and you'll enjoy a wonderful luxury stay - but that is not what this deal is about. (I have given links to their sites for more information).
Board is on a Room Only basis. (Breakfast costs around £3 to £4 a head). |
Most rooms sleep 2 adults with an option for a child to occupy an overhead bunk.
Some Motels, TRAVELODGE for example, sleep two adults and up to two children on a convertible sofa, so please take care when enquiring to give me all the information I need.

ITINERARY
Here's a five day tour itinerary - I can adjust for a shorter or longer trip if you wish ..
Day1:
On arrrival at London, I will be waiting to meet you all and either transfer you directly to your hotel/motel accommodation if arriving in the afternoon or evening, or if arriving in the morning (and energy levels permit it!), we will take a short tour of either the City or Windsor town and/or Castle.
Either way, my aim is to check you in to your Motel around mid-afternoon, giving you time to unpack, freshen up and get a little rest before ...
Evening: We'll take a short drive to a typical Thames Valley village pub (the transfer cost is included but not dinner, go here for an idea of meal costs.
There's usually a great atmosphere in our country inns, so it's possible that if jet-lag hasn't kicked in, the group may want to make a full evening of it. Absolutely no problem, have fun! (Staying up is what it is all about on the first day. That helps you sleep better that first night (when your body would normally be telling you to be up and awake) so hopefully you'll waken fresher in the morning and adjusted to the 'new' clock!
Day 2:
9am Transfer to London for a full day seeing the very best that our great capital City can offer! (And I do mean a full day in the city - 7 hours there - plus travel time of around an hour each way). We will return around 6pm.
Evening: Local evening transfer available, go here for special transfer prices, or spend an evening relaxing at the Hotel - dinner is available on-site.
Day 3:
9am A very full day of gentle meanderings today. First to Oxford, the City of Dreaming Spires where we will visit a college or two, (Harry Potter connections for the kids) and stroll the town before driving off to explore some of the lovely Cotswolds villages. We'll see Woodstock (a visit to Blenheim Palace, Churchill's birthplace, is possible too), the Swells, the Slaughters, Stow on the Wold, ending at Bourton-on-the-Water or Chipping Campden where the shoppers can spend, the weary can rest, and the countless tea shops will tempt us to try an Afternoon Cream Tea, before an easy drive home, arriving between 5 and 6pm.
Evening: A transfer to and from London is available to give you a taste of the night-life or why not see a show? Go here for special transfer prices.
Day 4:
9am: Either - Stonehenge and the unique City of Bath are calling us ... both locations are perennial favourites, but if you've already seen them don't worry, we have lots of alternatives, just ask. Either way, this will be a long but very satisfying day out. My plan is to return you to your Motel around 9pm to 9.30pm thereby giving you an opportunity to take dinner* on the way back.
OR perhaps you'd all prefer to visit Shakespeare's Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick Castle - a great choices for families. But it's up to you, lots of choice. Returning as above .. with dinner - not included - on the way home ..
Day 5: Transfer to Heathrow airport or the Eurostar terminal in London to say 'Goodbye'.
Transfer costs
A local evening transfer of up to 3 hours costs £30; up to 4 hours costs £40.
A London evening transfer, up to 3 hours waiting time, then return to your motel costs £70.
Or as above, with up to 4 hours wait, costs £80.
Dinner choices & cost
Depends very much on where you'd like to eat, but the choices are huge! The local towns and villages all feature excellent restaurants and pubs where a good dinner can be enjoyed in a wide price range.
If it's Gourmet cuisine you're after, not very far away from your base is Michelin-starred Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons (my personal all-time fave restaurant) where for around £49 a head - not including wine - you can end a pleasant half-day Oxford/Blenheim Palace trip with a very memorable long, lazy lunch. Check out the website link - it will tempt you - so you have been warned! (Their evening dining rates are naturally much higher, around £100 to £150 a head). Despite the high cost this place is world=famous and must be booked in advance, and I am happy to do this for you.
On the other hand, sticking with the theme of economy, you can enjoy the ambience and excellent home cooking in many of our village pubs (Inns) for around £10 a head - and I know where the best ones are! Also, these days we have many big companies operating a chain of pubs under a group banner/same menus, but for value and reliable food, they should not be overlooked. Here's a local example.
Perhaps some of the group are a little weary after a long day out and just want to eat simply, watch TV and get an early night? Why not get a take-out Chinese, or Pizza, or Indian, or Fish and Chips and enjoy it in the room for around £5 or less per person. It's your choice and I am only too happy to advise and enable.
