(Wheelchair users are NOT prevented from taking this tour contact me for further information). Major Sights include full guided-visits to either historic Westminster Abbey or impressive newly restored St Paul's Cathedral, lovely parks and gardens, the Royal Observatory, with the Greenwich Meridien (East/West Line), and Greenwich Village. For more details read a full tour description. A TRULY FABULOUS DAY OUT! We normally visit the following places and events (subject to availability on the day):
* See both Westminster Abbey and St. Pauls, tour one of them - your group's choice Total cost for your group = £240 currency converter Read an account of a typical tour FAQ's: Is the tour ok for the very young or for seniors? Provided they can walk around 3 to 4 miles in the course of a full day, yes! We are often riding - buses, tubes, boat, train - and therefore sitting down. Also, lunch/coffee breaks actually mean that you're on your feet and physically walking much less than you might imagine, but having said all that, if you still have serious doubts about someone's abilities walking-wise, don't do it; choose a bus or driver-guided car tour, instead. What's the total tour duration? The total tour duration is around 7 hours. Is a gratuity required? Gratuities are optional, but if your guide has worked hard and everyone's had fun, a gratuity of 10% to 15% would be appropriate. What if it rains on the day? We will duck and dodge wherever necessary. Obviously picnics are out, but everything else will go as planned - and believe it or not, London only gets around 39'' (a metre) of rain a year, so when it says 'rain tomorrow' in most places, in London it is more likely to be what the locals call 'drizzle', and you are fine with a light raincoat or just an umbrella in summertime when temperatures are often quite high. ** A guide to expenses Expenses usually total around £25 per person. (Lunch, Entry fees, Travel Pass and Boat ride). Entry fees: Vary a little dependant on whether you choose the Abbey or St Paul's for an internal tour but will average around £9 per person Travel card: (which continues to be valid up to midnight the same day) £5.60 per adult, kids go for just £1 Lunch: a picnic on the boat or in the park, £4 - £8 per person; the crypt restaurant, £9 per person; a good pub lunch, £8 - £10 per person.
